Meinen ersten Golfkurs machte ich bei einem amerikanischen Pro namens Will. Er lehrte uns, während einer Golfrunde auch manchmal rechts und links zu schauen und die schöne Natur auf uns wirken zu lassen. Und wir sollten ein kleines Notizbuch mit uns im Golfbag tragen, in das wir besondere Golferlebnisse niederschreiben sollen. Als künstlerische Natur habe ich diesen Ratschlag natürlich umgesetzt, und nachdem ich immer wieder ein paar Zeilen geschrieben hatte, begann ich auch, alles mögliche, was ringsherum wächst oder am Golfplatz zu finden war, wie eben Blumen, Blätter, Federn etc. zu sammeln.Als ich dieses Buch dann vorbereitete und daraus meine ganz besondere und persönliche Sichtweise von Golf zeigen wollte, fiel mir das kleine Büchlein mit all den Notizen und den gesammelten kleinen Schätzen wieder ein......My very first golf lessons were led by an American golf pro called Will. During our lessons Will would suggest to us that we look around us and let the nature surroundings soak in as part of the golf experience. He also suggested that we carry a small notebook in our golfbag where we could write down specific experiences we had as we played. As an artist that really appreciates nature, I welcomed this suggestion and immediately started such a notebook. In addition to writing a few lines in the book, I also began to collect flowers, feathers, leaves, etc. ...whetever I could find laying around the course to help illustrate what my personal experience was like at the time.
